Tim Grant’s campaign to become Ontario’s first elected Green MPP got off to a great start this week!
The Green Party of Ontario formally kicked off the campaign Wednesday morning with GPO Leader Mike Schreiner at Queen’s Park.
Mike then joined Tim to install Tim’s first campaign sign.
But the highlight of the week was our evening with Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and Canada’s first elected Green MP.
About 150 people joined Elizabeth and Tim for a great evening of dinner and conversation. Both Tim and Elizabeth offered engaging personal reflections, with Elizabeth reminding us on the power of one individual to change the political process. Much thanks to the many students from Ryerson University and University of Toronto for showing up – as Elizabeth tweeted, your energy was much appreciated!
More pictures from the event will be posted shortly, and will be available on Tim’s Picasa account. If you have any pictures to share, contact media@votetimgrant.ca – we’ll put them up!
Want to help Tim become Ontario’s first Green MPP? There are many ways you can help.
- All good campaigns depend on the energy and hard work of volunteers. We need people to help with canvassing polls, going out with Tim door-to-door, office assistance, sign installation, getting out the vote October 6…there’s no shortage of work to do. Want to volunteer? Fill out our volunteer form, or drop by our campaign office at 85 Harbord St. (near Spadina). The office will be open 10am-9pm Monday to Friday and 12-6pm Saturday/Sunday. We’d love to have you involved!
- Want to show your support? Tim shows his support for Trinity-Spadina’s preferred mode of commuting on our lawn signs. Request a sign today!
- A full campaign requires a strong base of financial support to maintain a campaign office, print literature and signs, get the word out through local advertising and events, arranging food for volunteers, etc. Tim thanks everyone who has graciously donated so far – if you would like to lend your financial support, please consider making a donation!
